When commercial towing vehicle Nostromo, heading back to Earth, intercepts an SOS signal from a nearby planet, the crew are under obligation to investigate. After a bad landing on the planet, some crewmembers leave the ship to explore the area. At the same time as they discover a hive colony of some unknown creature, the ship's computer deciphers the message to be a warning, not a call for help. When one of the eggs is disturbed, the crew do not know the danger they are in until it is too late.
The first of this classic franchise, Alien is the most disturbing of the four movies and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Tense and dark this movie is perfect for the big screen.
This movie is said to be one of the greatest sci-fi features ever made. Whilst the first movie was more horror in feel, Aliens is an adrenalin ride, action all the way, a great cast and full of fantastic one-liners. This is the ultimate "bug-hunt"
This movie is different in mood and style from the first two in the series. The film has a dark tone and a stylish look but will always suffer from the brilliance of its predecessors.
argued about, this final film in the series leaves some cold, others laughing.
There is no denying the slick style and great performances from Weaver and
the supporting crew. A much stronger film than Alien 3, it is a good end to
the franchise. Well until a fifth movie comes along!!!

A bleak, and alternate version of post-WW2 Tokyo, Jin-Roh accomplishes all the things that other anime cinema movies who were hailed as the holy grail of anime didn't accomplish, or at least never accomplished so well. And Jin-Roh does it with style.
animation is impressive; sober, lifelike and extremely realistic chara designs
move with wonderful fluidity through some very beautiful backgrounds.
This new version features a new English translation, new voices and has been colour corrected and digitally re-mastered.
Would you drink someone else's vomit to save the world? :)
Dragon 80,000 volts
Dir: John Carpenter
a down-on-his-luck construction worker, discovers a pair of special sunglasses.
Wearing them, he is able to see the world as it really is: people being
bombarded by media and government with messages like "Stay Asleep",
"No Imagination", "Submit to Authority". Even scarier
is that he is able to see that some usually normal-looking people are in
fact ugly aliens in charge of the massive campaign to keep humans subdued.
They Live is a turn back to the classic sci-fi films of the 1950's, while introducing a tinge of Orwellianism and incorporating action and horror elements.
What would you be like after 20 years aboard DARK STAR the spaced-out spaceship. The ultimate cosmic comedy!
Low-budget story of four astronauts in deep space, whose mission is to destroy unstable planets in star systems which are to be colonised. The late Commander Powell is stored in deep freeze, where he is still able to offer advice. As their mission nears completion, they must cope with a runaway alien which resembles a beach-ball, faulty computer systems, and a "smart bomb" who thinks it is God.
A surreal sci-fi movie with a metaphysical discussion between man and bomb!
Man is The Warmest Place to Hide.
