SPECIAL FREE EVENT

Captain Eager and the Mark of Voth
Free Film making focus

Are you a filmmaker? Director Simon Davison is and he is very 'eager' to get up on a Saturday morning and talk to you about the trials, tribulations and technical aspects of his new film, Captain Eager and the Mark of Voth.

Shoddy camera work, cardboard sets and pure tongue in cheek madness will be the trademarks of this movie. It's got the fantastic Mark Heap in it and Tamsin Greig both of whom are now shooting to fame after their work on Spaced and Black Books respectively and who both now appear in Green Wing.

The film isn't finished yet as it still needs some special effects work done and it is being funded by the director himself which is a scary prospect even for a low budget feature!!! So why not come and listen.

Synopsis: A square chinned but washed up hero from the Bakelite era of sci-fi is brought out of mothballs by the sprawling galactic corporation Macro Space. It's the world of falling cardboard sets, dying actors and lumpen dialogue versus the perfect but false idol world of corporate space. "A clash of syncretic futurist parallel that even the Expositionite finds hard to explain"

It's a free talk but you must get tickets as it is expected to be busy.

Tickets are available from Curzon Soho, 99 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1.
