New Mission. New Planet. Same Attitude.
At SCI-FI-LONDON 3 we screened RECON 2020,
a low-budget effects movie from Canadian,
Christian Viel. With a great story and cast, it was
a stunning achievement. Christian is now back
with the second instalment, RECON 2022: THE
MEZZO INCIDENT.
Two years after the events of RECON 2020: THE
CAPRINI MASSACRE, Sharp has been promoted
to lieutenant and leads a brand new unit of
tough, witty and trigger-happy space marines
through the perils of Mezzo, the hostile ice
planet, on a mission to destroy an underground
Ma'har facility.
What they encounter there defies their
comprehension as they tackle giant man-eating
snow worms, an underground city of Cyborgs, a
slew of murderous alien entities and maybe,
finally, the ever elusive Ma'hars...
Hey, don't worry if you missed the first one, this
movie stands on its own too feet with a
compelling story, amazing effects and very cool
bad guys. However, be warned that a likely
side-effect will be the extreme urge to see the
first movie.
The film stars Anderson Bradshaw (GOTHIKA),
Carmen Echeverria (UNDRESSED) and Deke
Richards (PAIN KILLER).
Battlestar Galactica, Space Above and
Beyond?
If you like action/sci-fi do not miss this movie.
Christian Viel will introduce the film and stay for a Q&A following the movie. He will also present at the SCI-FI FILM SCHOOL on Saturday 5th May
