Flynn wants to prove that stolen software belongs to him and with the help of some ex-work colleagues breaks into the office.

The evil and sentient computer called Master Control "digitises" him and he is transported into the system.

In the computer Flynn teams up with a book keeping program and his girl-friend and together they try to replace Master Control with the an honest program called Tron.
