LATE NIGHT MOVIES @ THE CURZON

One of the most genuinely funny sci-fi films you will ever see... poor special effects, cheap costumes, rotten script. This has it all. If you have never seen Plan 9, then you have a whole area of film vocabulary missing!

"Can your heart stand the shocking facts about Graverobbers from Outer Space?"

That's the question on the lips of the narrator of this tale about flying saucers, zombies and cardboard tombstones. A pair of aliens, angered by the "stupid minds" of planet Earth, set up shop in a California cemetary. Their plan: to animate an army of the dead to march on the capitals of the world.

A lot has been said about this movie... 'the worst film ever made?' Not in our opinion, this is a masterpiece.

Someone once said "Compared to the garbage that fills the theaters and direct-to-video films of today, Plan 9 is actually pretty good by today's standards. Sure, it's done on a cheap budget, the script is horrible, the dialogue achingly bad, and the actors untalented. But heck, that just means Plan 9 would go direct to video today, and Sky Movies would be hyping it as their Friday Premiere two months later." We agree!
