SCI-FI-LONDON is committed to presenting
short films as a part of the festival line-up.
Each year we put out a call for short film
and each year we receive hundreds of
amazing stories from around the world.
It is always a difficult task to select which
films to bring you, so many of them are
exceptional. However, we hope we have
brought together a great and eclectic mix
of fantastic film for our 6th festival.
THE ANGEL (Best Short Film Award 2007)

Ting, aged twelve, sits at her dying Grandma's
bedside. She fears that Death will take her
Grandma from her. Her only hope appears to
be a mysterious stranger with one leg.
COMING TO TOWN
(2006, Dir: Carles Torrens, USA, 16mins)
JoBeth, an eleven year-old girl being
bullied asks Santa for revenge and on
Christmas Eve, her wish is granted as a
deranged Santa with an automatic
weapon pays her foes a visit.

TAROT

A mysterious Gypsy Tarot reader deals
the cards for her nervous customer but
what secrets will they reveal?
THE MIRAGE
(2006, Dir: Youngwoong Jang, USA, 8.5mins)
A bio-mechanic robot's continual
quest is to fill his glass chest with water
in order to sustain his life. During his
journey, he meets a fish. Both need
water.
THE SALESMAN
(2006, Dir: David Rusanow, Australia, 11mins)
In a world where death is a
marketable commodity and the
outside world is delivered by way of
technology, the salesman charms his
way into more than he bargained for.
THE UN-GONE
(2006, Dir: Simon Bovey, UK, 8.5mins)
Step into a matter transporter in one
time zone, arrive seconds later in
another. Simple! But when the system
malfunctions, one man discovers the
dark truth behind the corporate façade.
VICTOR Y LA MAQUINA

'VICTOR AND THE MACHINE' is the tale

bringing his dead father back to life by
replacing his vital organs with parts of
