The What if..? Film Competition
A UK-wide challenge to 14-26 year-olds to make a 5-minute science fiction film
Gwenyth Paltrow in Sliding Doors - basic theme... what if?

SCI-FI-LONDON sees the SF genre as a playground for the imagination and aims to encourage students to see that the strength of sci-fi is in its ideas, not just special effects.

The What if…? film competition challenges young people to create a story that is compelling and thought-provoking.

The “What If…?” film competition is open to all secondary schools, further education colleges, universities, film schools and recognised youth groups in the UK.

It takes place between September and December 2004. Judging takes place in January 2005 and the winners will be premiered at Curzon SOHO as part of the SCI-FI-LONDON Film Festival.
