Best Graphic Novel Award announced

The inaugural Sci-Fi-London Award for the Best Comic/Graphic Novel has been awarded to Event Horizon from Mamtor Publishing. Described as 21st Century Pulp Fiction, it is an independently published anthology of short stories by some of the UK’s (and world’s) best writers and artists in the comics field. The anthology is divided into three sections: Fantastic, Gothic and Future Science and each features has an eclectic mixture of stories and artwork. The judging panel awarded the prize to Event Horizon because they felt that, apart from the quality of the content, it truly captured the spirit of the Festival by supporting and presenting high-quality, independent, original works that would not normally get a showing anywhere else.

Event Horizon is available from www.mamtor.com for $19.99. The current issue is 200 full-colour glossy pages, perfect bound and free from advertising.
