X-Files Improv

Dean Haglund who played long-haired computer geek “Langly” (one of The Lone Gunmen) for nine seasons of THE X-FILES revealing some serious sci-fi star quality, which he’ll now deliver to the nation on this first UK tour of his show The X-Files Improv, which premiered with rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe 2007. Haglund improvises a new spoof X-FILES episode at each performance, using the audience’s suggestions to shape the action. Fans of the long-running, highly-rated series will revel in Dean’s comedic versions of paranormal episodes and those who’ve never seen THE X-FILES will enjoy his improvisational skills and the mayhem that he creates. Every show is different but Dean’s energy levels remain consistently infectious, to an almost paranormal degree!

Haglund honed his improvisational skills at the Improv League with Ryan Stiles and Colin Mocherie from Whose Line Is It Anyway? and his ability to spin hilarious scenarios from the simplest of ideas never fails to entertain.

His Langly character is so popular that Dean is a main attraction at X-FILES and sci-fi conventions all over North America, probably because he is the one most of the fans can relate to. He appears on trading cards, T-Shirts and even has his own comic book (The Lone Gunman published by Dark Horse Comics).
