Now, we always knew that SCI-FI-LONDON was a bit special, not just because we are running it but because nearly everyone who comes to the festival tells us it is a great festival. That’s not only the punters coming to see our eclectic range of films and events but also the often world-weary filmmakers who travel the globe attending film festivals, who tell us how great the festival is.
So why the self-congratulatory mood? It seems that The Times (yes, The Times – the sponsors of the London Film Festival) also think we are a bit special too, because on their website they have listed SCI-FI-LONDON as one of “The best events around the world in 2009”, with nary a mention of their own sponsored event.
Just like the man said: You know it makes sense. Now all we have to do is deliver – and you know we will – but we’re not giving you any clues right now, just don’t procrastinate when the tickets go on sale, coz the word is out there now.
