Gore

After single set sci-fi films, such as MOON (in cinemas now), and Stuart Hazeldine’s EXAM (which showed at Edinburgh), it seems that sci-fi is easily adaptable for the stage, This is confirmed by a new play called ‘Gore’, showing at the New Player’s Theatre in Charing Cross from July 24.

This is the British premiere of an Argentinian cult play by Javier Daulte, in a new translation by Simon Scardifield. The play draws its inspiration from science-fiction and B-movies and tells the story of two aliens on a mission to save their species, and the group of outcasts who encounter them. It’s a funny, tragic and will hopefully give the audience a few shocks along the way!

The tickets are £9 (£6 concessions) and there are group discounts (negotiable, but standard is £5 per ticket, and buy 9 get 1 free). It runs from 24th July to 1st August, 7:30pm. with matinees on Thursday 30th and Sat 1st. Tickets can be booked on 020 8829 0035. See http://gore.awardspace.co.uk for more info.
