SCI-FI-LONDON 5

Anyone who knows the festival will know that we really want to see more UK sci-fi movies being made.

We are pretty good at horror, dramas and rom-coms, but seem to shy away from SF… well here are two films in the final stages of production, both made in England and both keen to hear our opinion.

Both of these screenings are free but you do need to reserve a place. Call the box office on 0871 22 33 444

CAPTAIN EAGER AND THE MARK OF VOTH

Are you a filmmaker? Director, Simon Davison is and he is very 'eager' to get up on a Saturday morning and talk to you about the trials, tribulations and technical aspects of his new film, Captain Eager and the Mark of Voth.

That was last year – and now Simon is back to show us… well an almost completed movie! Come and tell him what you think, pick his brains and find out about the pitfalls and joys of moviemaking in the UK.

The movie features a great UK cast including MARK HEAP and TAMSIN GREIG

INTERGALACTIC COMBAT

A British martial arts science fiction movie… yup, that's right. Called Team 1, it could be described as Dr Who meets The Water Margin.

That was two years ago! And Ray Brady, who came to show us the tests footage, is back with a completed film!

We get to see the movie and talk about it after. Ray is expert in film financing and will talk over how the movie came to be made, finished and paid for!
