SCI-FI-LONDON
sees the SF genre as a playground for the imagination and aims to encourage students
to see that the strength of sci-fi is in its ideas, not just special effects.
The What if…? film competition challenges young people
to create a story that is compelling and thought-provoking.
The “What If…?” film competition is open to all secondary
schools, further education colleges, universities,
film schools and recognised youth groups in
the UK.
It takes place between September and December 2004. Judging takes place in January
2005 and the winners will be premiered at Curzon SOHO
as part of the SCI-FI-LONDON Film
Festival.
WHAT IF... the media
is controlled by the government and love is banned?

in love with a old portrait and could travel thru' time to meet them?
SOMEWHERE IN TIME
The film can be in any style – animation (Flash,
traditional cell, puppets, claymation etc), live action, stills
or a combination and must not be longer than FIVE minutes.
Awards include technical excellence, best
direction, best story, best film, best
soundtrack and prizes include equipment, a premiere of the winning films
at SCI-FI-LONDON and loads of other goodies
