Coming Soon

This summer looks set to be a blockbuster superhero cinema season, from IRON MAN, which launches May 2 to the eagerly awaited sequels such as INDIANA JONES, HELLBOY, BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT (and judging from the prelude shown at the IMAX this looks a stonker), not to mention new outings for THE INCREDIBLE HULK and Brendan Fraser in another MUMMY adventure, and a further trip into Narnia with PRINCE CASPIAN. On top of that is Pixar’s latest offering WALL-E, which is guaranteed to be a hit, and another Will Smith vehicle called HANCOCK. Also due for release is the Wachowski Brothers’ latest interpretation of Japanese subculture with SPEED RACER (Watch the trailer here).

Of course, before that feast SCI-FI-LONDON will be offering you some very fine appetisers that will more than satisfy your cravings for quality on-screen science fiction delights.

And let’s not forget that SFL favourite CAPTAIN EAGER AND THE MARK OF VOTH is on a limited release at the ICA and other art house cinemas from April 18 (review here). Another Brit, Neil Marshall (DOG SOLDIERS, THE DESCENT), is releasing his latest film DOOMSDAY, starring Bob Hoskins and Malcolm McDowell, on April 11 (Watch the trailer here).

We will try and report to you on as many of these as we can so stay tuned.
