Robot Chicken Star Wars II

Following the highly anticipated release of Star Wars Episode I, Star Wars sequels (or prequels) have been a bit of a disappointment. A new sequel is about to be released on DVD that will please both fans and detractors. Yes, it’s Robot Chicken Star Wars II. Seth Green and his cohorts are back with more of their action toy silliness, which is as good as the first one. Watch a Stormtrooper with his daughter on “Take you child to work day”, and Luke and Vader have some quality father and son bonding time together. There is a bounty hunter recruitment programme and orphan Ani jokes. It manages to be irreverent and reverent at the same time. It features the voices of Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams, from the original Star Wars trilogy, along with Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane

The actual episode itself is only 35 minutes, but there are loads of extras behind the scenes of grown (mostly) men behaving in a very geeky way – i.e. having fun. There are also some extra episodes of Robot Chicken, of a non Star Wars variety, but still having fun with popular culture icons.

ROBOT CHICKEN STAR WARS II is out on DVD from Revolver Entertainment on June 27 and is available from major retailers including Amazon and Play.
