Way back in 2003, we screened this fantastic post-apocalyptic movie and were intrigued when pop icon, Kylie, walked in and bought a ticket! 6 festivals later and it is still a super PA movie - and any pop celebs who want to come along are very welcome. So many people haven't had the chance to see this amazing film, consider it part of the service that we're screening it for you.
12 years after a plague has decimated the world population, survivors are interviewed about how they now live. Set in the San Francisco bay area, the film explores, in often humorous ways, how people might cope. We witness the impatience of the younger generation with their elders' nostalgia, attempts to administer justice, a new sexual politics, and emergent pseudo-religious beliefs.
This epic yet personal film gently examines how we might start again, left to our own devices.
